E-residents

Launched in 2014, the e-Residency program allows entrepreneurs worldwide to access Estonia’s digital business environment. Being an e-resident does not automatically mean you have a company. Without a company, there is no accounting or tax reporting required.

Once you do have an Estonian company, the systems are fully online and largely available in English, but they are still based on Estonian law, local procedures, and local practice.

In practice, this is where many e-residents struggle — at least at first. Processes that are obvious to locals often take time to understand for foreigners. Over time, most e-residents get used to the system and manage many routine matters on their own.

All interaction with the government is online. What matters is knowing what needs to be done, when, and how.

How we support e-residents

Local support beyond accounting

  • Company formation and preparation

  • Changes to company registration data (management, address, articles)

  • Share transfers and ownership changes

  • Guidance with local bank and fintech account opening

  • Communication with the Business Register and other authorities

  • Interpreting official letters and requirements in plain English

  • Practical consulting when the next step is unclear

Accounting and compliance (when you have a company)

  • Accounting under Estonian requirements

  • Tax reporting and statutory filings

  • Explaining obligations, deadlines, and local expectations

  • We never access or handle your funds. Bank access, when required, is read-only and used only for accounting and reconciliation purposes.

We help you get started and navigate the system confidently — without creating unnecessary dependency.

For non-accounting related services, our hourly rate is €50, billed in 20-minute increments. You can find the accounting price list here.
